GuanAMINO® is a feed supplement that provides your animals with guanidinoacetic acid (GAA), the natural metabolic precursor to creatine. GuanAMINO® supplementation leads to even higher creatine levels in the birds compared with direct creatine supplementation. In 2022, scientists at Harper Adams University in the UK published the results from a trial in which the effects of GAA on broiler performance in low energy diets were studied.
The trial showed that Ross 308 broilers that were fed GAA-supplemented and 50 kcal/kg reduced feed tended to gain more weight and had an improved feed conversion compared with standard fed birds.
In another treatment, birds were fed with an even 100 kcal/kg reduced and GAA supplemented diet which led to the same weight gain and feed conversion compared with standard fed birds.
